My life’s mission is to revitalize the ballet world in Asia. I have been captivated by the beauty of ballet, its technical depth, and the possibilities for cross-cultural exchange beyond borders. In 2010, I founded the ballet and dance goods store “Tokyo Big Ballet Market.” Rather than just running a retail business, my primary focus has been on enhancing the safety and performance of dancers. In 2012, we introduced a ballet-specific flooring system aimed at injury prevention, and, together with partner companies, we have been supporting ballet studios throughout Japan.

To further expand the potential of ballet, I developed the foot training tool “Ko-Dashi Stick NEO” in 2014. Through my observations of the ballet world, I realized the importance of strengthening and refining the beauty of the feet for dancers’ technical improvement. This tool obtained a utility model in Japan and has been widely used in the training of many ballet dancers.

Our true challenge began in 2015 with the establishment of the “ASIA BALLET AGENCY.” Through this agency, we have been providing young ballet dancers in Asia with opportunities on the international stage and devoting all our efforts to help them realize their dreams.

One of the most memorable aspects of our work has been the interactions with dancers from different cultures and backgrounds while participating in numerous international ballet festivals. Additionally, the ballet skill-up tours we organized in Korea and China were invaluable experiences, not only in terms of technical improvement but also in deepening cross-cultural understanding.

The international ballet competition “The World Ballet Trial,” which we launched in 2016, is the embodiment of our passion. Starting in Tokyo, we collaborated with Dream Work Production to hold the “The World Ballet Trial Malaysia Stage 1st” in 2023, where we were highly praised. Furthermore, in 2024, we achieved great success at “The World Ballet Trial Malaysia Stage 2nd.” It has been an incredible experience to see our activities recognized globally.

In 2024, we also collaborated with the Thai Dance Organization for the “The World Ballet Trial Thailand Stage 1st,” which was another major success. Preparations are now underway for our next challenge in Indonesia. Currently, “The World Ballet Trial” is providing valuable stepping stones for young dancers across Asia, enabling them to soar onto the world stage.

For me, ballet is not just an art form. It is a force that connects people across borders and is the very essence of my life. As I continue to push for the further development of ballet culture in Asia and nurture the future stars of ballet, I am committed to taking on new challenges.
