Kar Men started to learn ballet since the age of 5. She is currently on Advanced 1 in Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) grades and is planning to continue in pursuing a higher grade. Other than classical ballet, she also enjoys learning different genres of dance such as Traditional Chinese dance, Hip Hop and K-pop dance. She found her passion in teaching at the age of 20 and started to be involved in assisting and teaching classical ballet and modern jazz. In addition, she is currently undertaking teaching course at Tutu Toe Dance Academy in order to enhance her teaching skill. Moreover. She is also pursuing for a degree in Accounting in Help University. She always believes that great dancers are not great because of their techniques. They are great because of their passion. Dance from your heart and let your passion shine through.

Evelyn found her passion in performing arts and dance when she started her ballet journey at age 9 with Jean Gan Academy pursuing her Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) grades. She began teaching ballet on a part time basis since she was 16 years old. 

While she was in high school, her passion in dancing led her to explore different dance genres such as Contemporary, Lyrical, Chinese Classical, and Latin, where she was involved in various performances and competitions. Apart from her degree in Psychology, she continued to pursue her Commonwealth Society of Teachers of Dancing (CSTD) Teacher Certificate at Tutu Toe Dance Studio. She truly believes that a dancer who is driven by passion and hard work will always shine on stage.

PHANG XING YI

Junior Dance Instructor of TutuToe Dance Academy 

Phang Xing Yi began her dancing journey at the age of 4 by learning ballet. Later on, she also joined her school’s dance society to learn contemporary and Traditional Chinese traditional dance. In addition, she has been actively involved in dancing competitions for up to 6 years. Moreover, she has also been learning Kpop dance for 2 years and has received many awards in the competitions. Xing Yi began teaching ballet at the age of 18 in kindergartens, primary schools and ballet studios. She has completed her diploma in music in Malaysian Institute of Art and is currently teaching classical piano and pop vocal in a music academy. She believes that “Nobody cares if you dance. Just get up and dance. Great dancers are great because of their passion.”

ZOEY ONG 

Junior Dance Instructor of TutuToe Dance Academy 

Zoey began learning classical ballet at the age of 4. She is currently undergoing training of classical ballet in both The Common Wealth Society of Teachers (CSTD) and Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) syllabus at Tutu Toe Dance Academy. She also learned rhythmic gymnastics and competed in few international competitions. This year, she also started training gymnasts as a level 1 coach in rhythmic gymnastics to prepare them for local and international competitions. Besides that, she has been involved in assisting and teaching ballet since the age of 17. She is currently pursing for a bachelor degree in Sport and Exercise Science. She believes that great dancers are not great because of their technique, they are great because of their passion.
